Description
Sprinklers at Richard Carter Park are broken.
One day after receiving approximately 3 inches of rain, they're running; they shouldn't be able to run with the current waterlogged soil condition anyway, however:
A volume of water equivalent to roughly three garden hoses running full-open ran across the sidewalk and down the street into the storm drain. The soil is leached where the sprinkler runoff clears a path across the field and to the road, indicating that irrigation pipes have been broken for some time.
